Linen Indigo Shawl, Shade 4

This shawl was designed by Japanese textile brand Mills Studio, woven in India, and hand-dyed at a workshop in the Japanese island of  Amami Ōshima. The dye process involves two steps of indigo and mud-dyeing,5 times by indigo, 3 times by mud dyeing The imperfections and irregularities in shading color and texture are part of its beauty and character. 

Please note that there is unevenness due to natural dyeing. By repeating washing and drying under the sun, the color will change. That creates the unique charm of this shawl.

Due to the large size, this can also be used as a table covering.
